Wolves Masquerade as Sheep

“Come one, come all! Let love flow through you. Be peaceful and love yourself—like I do.”

At first glance, these words sound harmless—even comforting. But throughout history, phrases like these have been used to lure the vulnerable down a dark path. When someone is starved of love and connection, and then handed a false sense of purpose, they can become fiercely loyal to a destructive cause.

Even the phrase “I love you,” which should carry safety and sincerity, can be twisted into a weapon by manipulative leaders. Behind gentle tones and peaceful mantras, many have hidden dangerous intentions. They preach kindness, yet mask control. They quote scripture not to heal, but to justify harm. And sadly, their followers often don’t see the mask until it’s too late.

Have you ever heard someone say, “If you love me, you’ll do this…”? That’s not love—it’s control. True love doesn’t come with strings attached. Yet many have used phrases like this to manipulate those who only seek belonging.

This is how people get brainwashed—not in one moment, but slowly, over time, by someone who knows exactly how to appear harmless.
